NJPP Celebrates 20th Anniversary

More than 200 champions for economic justice gathered in New Brunswick on Wednesday, June 14 to celebrate New Jersey Policy Perspective’s 20th anniversary.

Partners, advocate, supporters, funders, and current and former public officials including U.S. Sen. Bob Torricelli, former Gov. Jim Florio, Sen. Jerry Stockman, Sen. Bill Gormley, Assemblyman Troy Singleton, Assemblyman Dan Benson, Assemblyman Gordon Johnson, Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker and Assemblywoman Elizabeth Maher Muoio joined in celebrating NJPP’s two decade legacy of making the facts matter in New Jersey public policy.

NJPP proudly recognized three honorees for their special efforts to make New Jersey a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive: The Fund for New Jersey, represented by its board chair Chief Justice Deborah Poritz; William Castner, Jr. of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield; and Planned Parenthood, represented by the leaders of its two New Jersey affiliates, Triste Brooks and Roslyn Rogers Collins.

These honors were presented respectively by Michael Laracy of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, former Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts, and Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg.

Each honoree was presented with an original work of art produced through HomeFront‘s therapeutic ArtSpace program for homeless families.

Dozens of generous sponsors joined NJPP in celebration of its 20-year milestone – particularly Leader-level sponsor Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, and three Advocate-level sponsors: The Communications Workers of America-NJ, NJPP Board Chair Jun Choi and his wife Lisa Lee, and NJPP trustees Leigh Gibson and Jim Parker of Riverview Studios.

Join the celebration with your own anniversary gift to NJPP!
