NJPP senior policy analyst Raymond Castro issued the following statement Thursday after the New Jersey legislature approved the New Jersey Health Benefit Exchange Act (S-1319/A-2171):

“This is a great day for the 1 in 7 New Jerseyans without health insurance, as most of them will soon finally be able to obtain quality affordable coverage. It’s also a great day for the state’s future, as it is a crucial step towards improving New Jersey’s health and economy.”

For more on how the bill will help fix New Jersey’s uninsurance crisis, read Castro’s blog post from earlier this week.
