From PolitickerNJ, October 3, 2012:

Organized labor rallied at the Statehouse here today against Gov. Christie’s policies, armed with a new report they say bolsters their arguments that his attacks on the blue-collar segment are damaging the state as a whole.

New Jersey Policy Perspective issued a report today that claims that the loss of public-sector jobs in New Jersey is a main reason it lags the country in digging out of the recession.

The report offers some solutions: The federal government should provide financial assistance to state and local governments to promote efficiencies; the state should take into account employment when considering budget cuts; and the state should pursue more public-private investment strategies.
